Appendix B – Staffing Plan

 

Below is a list of full-time and part-time members of the design, development and implementation team for the project.  This team will design, develop and implement and evaluate a training program intended to increase teacher web page use in Pender County Schools.  Following a short description of each member’s key responsibilities, a chart will list individual tasks in more detail.

 

Instructional Designer/Instructional Technology Coordinator –

The Instructional Technology Coordinator will serve as the Project Manager for this initiative as well as the Instructional Designer.  He implemented the initial training and understands the major components of the system, budgetary constraints and implementation strategies.  He will be involved at almost every level of the project.

 

Technology Director –

The Technology Director will serve a major role in the planning of the project since he ultimately is responsible for the operating system, the Technology Department.  He also controls the budget that will fund many of the efforts.  He will ultimately approve the plan and evaluate the effectiveness of the training.

 

Secretary –

The Secretary will play a major part of the development of the training materials.  She will serve as the organizer and word processor of the student and trainer manuals for both tiers of the trainings.

 

Technical Writers 1 and 2 –

These members will participate in the design of the student and trainer manuals.  They will also help to design any graphical representations according to the needs of the products.  They will also serve on the team that will outline and write the content manuals.  The Technical Writers will also revise the manuals as needed.

 

Technology Trainer 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 –

These are school-based trainers who will also participate in the formative evaluation of the instructional products.  They will also participate in the actual training of the staff at their respective schools.  They are teachers who have been identified as technology leaders in their schools.

 

Technology Trainer 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 –

These Technology Trainers will participate in the training of their teachers at each school.  They are also teachers, but have been identified as technology leaders.

 

Lead Technology Trainer –

This trainer will serve as the teacher representative throughout the project.  He/she will advise the design/development team at various points throughout the project and serve as the trainer for the trainers.   This participant is also a teacher and will assist with training at his/her school.

Webmaster –

This team member will serve as the subject-matter expert for the project.  He/she will assist in the development and revision of the instructional package.  He/she will also serve as the assistant trainer for the training of the Technology Trainers and the planning of the workshop environment.  He/she will be in charge of publicizing the materials via the county web page.

 

Graphic Designer/Art Teacher –

This individual is an art teacher who will be hired to perform as a Graphic Designer.  He/she will create any graphical representations needed for the project.

 

Evaluator/Assistant Superintendent for Instruction –

The Evaluator for this project will be the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction.  He/she is skilled in program assessment and curriculum effectiveness.  He/she is also knowledgeable about the instructional design and evaluation process as well as the goals of the web pages.  He/she will perform both the formative and summative evaluations.
